Auditions for the Brave New Works Theatre Festival: Take 2!

Picture
We have a lot of roles to fill, and we're still casting for our next project, the Brave New Works Theatre Festival.

Five directors will cast their unique creations for the Brave New Works Theatre Festival, a new project launched by BOOM to promote new ways to approaching our craft. Each director has been assigned a twenty-minute time slot and a twenty dollar budget, and is being challenged to produce their most effective work yet. We are still adding venues to the Festival schedule; all performances will take place in June, and rehearsals will be scheduled based on the availability of the team.

Auditions will be held March 21, from 6-8 PM, at Tudor Hall. Tudor Hall is located at 17 Tudor Lane, in Bel Air, MD. No appointment is necessary; please bring a resume and headshot if available.

BOOM is seeking actors of all types to perform in the following plays:

-LIKEWISE, written by Judy Klass, directed by Erin Curran.
-DAMNED POETS, written by Ryan Nicotra, directed by Dustin Horsman.
-TRUST, written/directed by Joshua Fletcher.
-SO WISE SO YOUNG, written/directed by Lisa Davidson.

Additionally, BOOM is seeking dancers (modern) to perform in a new ballet, MAYELLA, choreographed/directed by Kayleigh Daniels.

Auditions will consist of an interview and cold reading from scripts. There will be an opportunity to present a monologue, at the discretion of the actor.

For more information on each piece or the Festival, please consult boomtheatre.com.
